On September 25, 2020 “Dreptul de a fi” together with representatives of Balti Temporary Placement Center for persons with disabilities and representatives of the project sponsors, the Keystone Moldova Association, visited the apartment ready for the project beneficiaries. After the appropriate work with psychologists and instructors, the selected persons will leave the state institution, and will live independently in an apartment equipped for their needs, will make purchases, pay bills, walk in the evenings. A few years ago, all this seemed impossible. With the support of charitable foundations, society and the state have drawn their attention to this vulnerable group. Inclusive projects like “Life in Society for All” offer special people and people with disabilities a chance to start an independent life in society.
The 21st century has greatly expanded the prospects for people with disabilities. It has become much easier to be educated and to expand knowledge and social circle. To a large extend, the inclusion, which is now so much talked about in the media, is not only limited to ramps and access to and from the pavements. It will come when society openly accepts such people at work, in schools, in transport. People with disabilities, who manage to break down social barriers, try to help others like them, at the same time helping themselves to find their place among ordinary people of modern society. Join us, let us change the world together.
